Should dust my eyes with sand, to see clearly in the blur, To cure the itch between dryness and tear. Rubbing the grains to see the truth within, Dimming the outside, expanding the space of the soulā A space that has become shallow and narrow.
Sometimes, We turn away, doubting what we see, when the truth stands before our open eyes, Nevertheless, The truth seen in the blur will be clearer For through the blur, we see with sharpened eyes.
To lessen the weight that burdens the very breath, The weight of vices that dampens the voice To clear the mind, for a clean vision, To find a balance in the middle of consistency
Perhaps I could stand before my Lord, with a heart laid bare in my hands So, my soul finds peace,
And in his presence, I can weep, An ocean or perhaps a sea, So, I can finally become free.
