On you I fall

A poem

When the world leaves
you all alone,
having tasted its fill,
yet it consumes.
It can give what you 
want and take away 
everything, nothing in 
this fleeting life can 
fulfill your deepest need

"In times of sadness,
I know you are there."
"You draw me close, so
I won’t be scared"
You know me
You see me
You know my 
heart and soul
When I can't  
stand, on you I fall 
I’m asking for your 
grace, so please 
hear my call

I find 
I need you more
than I need myself 
Thought I 
found peace,
but I’m left in pieces

I can’t see where this 
path will lead,
lost a life not
meant for me.
but I’m grateful 
I still can breathe

The moon, even when
it's not whole, shines 
bright. At the
end of the road, 
I feel there’s light

If there’s one thing I know
is that seasons come and go, 
but God will keep  
you whole, breaking  
through the hardest stone
