A poem( ache bure ki baat nahi hoti)

Transliteration:

Achai buray ki baat ni hoti
Baat hoti hai tou bas Dil ki...
 
Jo dil mai thae unhe 
kabhi paa na sakay 
Chah kar b unhe kabhi 
chah na sakay

Dastan kuch aisi thee
Khass b ni...
Aur b daastanien thee
Jo unhe kabhi bata na sakay

Jo b thae,
thae tou humaray dil mai hee 
Jaga jo banayi thee 
woh unhe kabhi dikha na sakay

Chalo itna hee kaafi ki 
woh abh b humaray dil mai hai 
Warna agar zindagi Mai hotay
 tou shayid dil k itnay qareeb na hotay

Yahi sahi unka muqaam
 ki woh dil mai hai
Yahi tak thee unki manzil 
Kabhi kahi aur woh jaa na sakay

In urdu:

اچھے برے کی بات نہیں ہوتی

بات ہوتی ہے تو بس دل کی

جو دل میں تھے انہیں کبھی پا نہ سکے

چاہ کر بھی انہیں چاہ نہ سکے

داستان کچھ ایسی تھی۔۔۔ خاص بھی نہیں

اور بھی داستانیں تھی

جو انہیں کبھی بتا نہ سکے

جو بھی تھے، تھے تو ہمارے دل میں ہی

جگہ جو بنائی تھی وہ

انہیں کبھی دکھا نہ سکے۔

چلو اتنا ہی کافی کہ وہ

اب بھی ہمارے دل میں ہے

ورنہ زندگی میں ہوتے تو شاید

دل کے اتنے قریب نہ ہوتے۔

یہی سہی انکا مقام

کہ وہ ہمارے دل میں ہے

دل تک تھی اُنکی منزل

کبھی کہیں اور وہ جا نہ سکے

In english (translation):

It is never about good or bad.
It is only about the matter of heart.

Those who were in this heart,
I could never reach them,
even though I wanted to,
I could never truly love them.

The story was just like that… 
nothing special,
and there were other stories too
that I could never share with them.

Whatever it was, it stayed in my heart,
the place I had made for them
I could never truly show them.

Though it is enough that 
they live in my heart.
Otherwise, if they had been in my life
they would not have been
so close to my heart.

Let it be their place that
they are in my heart.
Their destination was the heart,
they could never go anywhere else.

Note: I tried to write my first Urdu poem with these lines. It took longer to edit all this… than to write it actually because of english translation. Initially I didn't wanna include it because the actual feeling gets kinda lost but their are many non urdu readers so I let it be as it is for them.
